Boating at Satkosia gorge
Signature Experience

Boating at Satkosia Gorge

The Mahanadi cuts through the Eastern Ghats here to form the Satkosia gorge, a stretch of calm water flanked by forested hills on both sides. A slow boat ride is easily the most memorable thing you can do around the property.

Along the banks and in the water, you have a real chance of spotting:

🐊 Crocodiles 🦌 Deer 🦚 Peacocks 🐢 Tortoise 🐘 Elephant 🐟 Fish

The scenic beauty here honestly cannot be put into words. It has to be seen.

Wildlife

Satkosia Tiger Reserve & Jungle Safari

The property is right next to the Satkosia Tiger Reserve, a protected forest that is home to elephants, deer, leopards, and a huge variety of birds. Jungle safaris can be arranged through the host, and the drive itself is often as good as the destination.

Watch out for the elephant crossing signboards on the road. This is real elephant country, and sightings are not rare.
